Governor-Elect Tony Ada and Lt. Governor-Elect EJ Calvo announced the leadership of their transition team during a press conference on November 5 at their headquarters in Hagåtña.
Jerry Crisostomo will serve as the Chairperson of the transition team, overseeing the overall coordination of the transition effort and the leadership of three principal committees:
Nate Denight was named chairperson of the Committee on Government Operations and Efficiency. This committee will review government agency operations, identify areas for improved efficiency, and ensure agencies can effectively carry out their responsibilities.
Jaedeen Perez is the chairperson of the Committee on Administration and Appointees, which will coordinate the identification and evaluation of qualified individuals for service in the upcoming administration.
Piti Mayor and Mayors Council of Guam President Jesse Alig is the chairperson of the Committee on Inaugural Arrangements. This committee will coordinate preparations for the inauguration and related activities.
Additionally, former Republican governors and lieutenant governors have been invited to serve as honorary transition co-chairs and advisors.
"Our objective is to prepare an administration that is ready to work, ready to listen, and ready to deliver," said Lt. Governor-Elect Calvo. "This process is about continuity of public service and making sure that the responsibilities of service are transferred smoothly and responsibly."
He added, "We intend to put together a team that reflects the strength, diversity, experience, and talent of our island. We intend to approach this transition with urgency, careful planning, and thoughtful decision-making. Above all, we intend to remain focused on what matters most: the people we have been elected to serve."
