What we collect
Newsletter signups. If you give us your email address, we store that address so we can send you the newsletters you asked for. That is the only field we keep.
News tips. If you submit a tip, we store what you write. Name and contact details are optional. If you tick the anonymous box, those fields are discarded before your tip is saved, and we have no way to identify you from the submission.
Staff accounts. GNN employees who sign in to the newsroom have an account with their name, work email, and role. Editorial actions are logged for accountability.
Audience measurement
We measure readership in aggregate using a cookieless analytics service (Vercel Web Analytics). It counts page views and general statistics such as country, browser type, and referring site. It does not set cookies, does not build individual profiles, and does not follow you across other websites. We use these numbers to understand which stories serve our readers.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers. We do not use advertising trackers or third-party profiling cookies, and we do not run cross-site tracking pixels.
Cookies
Readers are not given tracking cookies. The only cookies this site sets are for signed-in newsroom staff, to keep them logged in.
Where your information lives
Reader submissions and staff accounts are stored in our hosted database and are accessible only to authorized GNN staff. Access is enforced at the database level, not merely hidden in the interface.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from any newsletter at any time. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, email news@guamnewsnetwork.com and we will respond.
Children
This site is a general-audience news service and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If our practices change, for example when we add reader accounts or audience analytics, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
