Danielle Marie Baza was charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault and family violence in a case that stems from a hit and run in Sinajana which was captured on home surveillance on Oct. 11.

According to the magistrate complaint Baza is accused of deliberately chasing a man  known to her and striking him with the vehicle she was allegedly driving. When Guam Police Department officers arrived on scene, Baza was not present.  However, officers were informed of her alleged involvement.

“Baza was operating a white Toyota Prius and chasing the male victim, … who was running away from Baza on foot when she intentionally struck him with her vehicle. One witness noted the impact caused the victim to roll onto the hood of Baza’s vehicle and strike the windshield before rolling back onto the ground,” the magistrate complaint states.

The complaint alleges that after striking the victim, Baza “exited the vehicle flipped the victim over on his back, then returned to her vehicle and fled the scene.”

Police said the victim was “barely conscious” and was “lying in a small pool of blood at the scene.”

According to police he identified Baza as the suspect.

The victim told police that Baza “unexpectedly” arrived at his place of employment and allegedly “attempted to taze him with a stun gun.”

“It was at that time that the victim ran away from Baza who pursued him in her white Toyota ultimately striking him with the front of her vehicle,” the complaint states.

The vehicle involved in the incident was allegedly ditched and “stripped of its license plates.”

According to the complaint Baza who is on pre-trial release in another case was apprehended when she was “checking in at probation.”

“Baza contacted her lawyer who advised officers that his client would be invoking her 5th amendment rights and would not be providing a statement,” the complaint said.

She was booked and confined.
