A woman has been arrested on allegations that she attempted to hit a man with a vehicle in Sinajana on Oct. 11.
The Guam Police Department confirmed the arrest in response to an inquiry into two video clips circulating social media depicting three individuals running from a vehicle allegedly driven by Danielle Marie Baza, 37.
"On Oct. 11, 2026, at around 5:55 p.m., officers were called to a street in Sinajana after receiving a report that a man was struck by a vehicle," GPD said.
The video clips were from Ring camera surveillance from a home near where the incident occurred. In one video the three individuals can be seen running past, two of the individuals were running on the road when a vehicle comes around the corner and motors at a high rate of speed toward the individuals running. The individuals were initially able to dodge the vehicle. The vehicle then makes a U-turn as a male individual runs in the opposite direction apparently fleeing from the driver.
In the second video, the same vehicle speeds through the street toward the male individual before striking him.
"The vehicle, driven by Baza, fled the scene prior to the arrival of police. The male was transported to GMH for medical treatment," GPD said in a release on Oct. 17," GPD said.
Baza was apprehended and arrested according to police who said she was booked and confined on the following offenses:
• Attempted Murder
• Aggravated Assault – 2nd Degree Felony
• Family Violence Misdemeanor
• Reckless Driving
• Leaving the Scene with Injuries/Property Damage
According to Baza' arrest record she was confined to the Department of Corrections at 4:06 p.m. on Oct. 16.
Baza was arrested in September on charges related to home invasion and aggravated assault. In that case she is accused of forcefully entering a home and striking a woman known to her repeatedly. That case is before the court.
The news case has been forwarded to the Office of Attorney General for disposition.
The male individual who was struck in the incident confirmed for Guam News Network that he is in recovery.
