The University of Guam kicked off its Fanuchånan (Fall) 2025 semester this week, marking the return of students, faculty, and campus activities across the Mangilao campus. In a message to the Triton community, UOG President Anita Borja Enriquez encouraged students, staff, and faculty to embrace the semester as a season of renewal and possibility.
“The Fanuchånan semester marks more than the return to classes and to campus. It is a time of renewal, momentum, and possibility,” Enriquez said. “Each of us, in our roles across this campus and community, contributes to something greater.”
The semester began with Welcome Back festivities hosted by the 64th Student Government Association at the Calvo Field House, where students connected with clubs, campus organizations, and university services. Students will also notice ongoing campus transformation projects, with four major facilities nearing completion: the Dr. Lucio C. Tan Student Success Center, the School of Engineering Building, the Water and Environmental Research Institute Building, and the Margaret Perez Hattori-Uchima School of Health Nursing Annex. Together, the new buildings add more than 85,000 square feet of academic and student spaces.
To accommodate students, the university has extended open registration through Aug. 29. Students can register online at registration.uog.edu, in person at the Admissions & Records Office, or during Triton One-Stop Registration Events on Aug. 25, and 29 at the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The One-Stop brings together admissions, advising, financial aid, health services, and the Bursar’s Office in one location to assist students.
