The Guam Department of Education (GDOE) announced that Tamuning Elementary School (TES) has achieved a significant improvement in its annual public health inspection, rising from a score of 27/C last year to 18/B this year. The school credited the collective efforts of faculty, staff, parents, and local partners for the accomplishment.
In a statement, TES administrators expressed gratitude to the entire school community for their commitment to meeting Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) standards and maintaining a safe, clean learning environment. Faculty, staff, and their families were recognized for their steadfast work to prepare classrooms and facilities ahead of inspection.
The school also extended thanks to Tamuning Mayor Louise Rivera and her staff for their continued support, GDOE’s Facilities and Maintenance Division for their prompt attention to facility needs, and the Parent-Teacher Organization for helping strengthen readiness efforts. Additionally, the GDOE Safety Division and DPHSS inspectors were acknowledged for their collaboration in addressing health and safety requirements efficiently.
“Passing this inspection is a testament to the dedication of our entire school community,” the TES administration stated. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who contributed their time and effort to ensure our students can continue learning in a safe and supportive environment that meets the highest standards.”
