The Department of Public Health and Social Services (DPHSS) announced it is extending operating hours at the RANCARE building in Tamuning to support families collecting their Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (SNAP S-EBT) cards. The extended hours run from Sept. 22 through Sept. 27, with weekday distributions scheduled from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and a full-day distribution on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
The program provides a one-time benefit of $177 per eligible student, funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food and Nutrition Service and administered locally by DPHSS in partnership with the Guam Department of Education (GDOE). Eligibility is determined based on student enrollment in schools participating in the National School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program during the past year, as well as children in SNAP or TANF households.
Parents and guardians must bring valid photo identification, such as a Guam ID, driver’s license, military ID, or passport, to collect benefits. Electronic or digital copies of IDs are accepted. Written authorizations will not be permitted, but families facing special circumstances, such as being off-island, may arrange verification through Zoom. Custody and duplicate benefit rules will be strictly enforced, and violations may lead to investigation.
