The Guam Department of Education announced there will be no classes for students and teachers on Friday, Dec. 19, after determining that no schools require makeup instruction on that date.

In a statement issued from Tiyan, GDOE said Dec. 19, which had been designated as flexible makeup day No. 2, will be observed as a non-instructional day across the public school system.

GDOE also announced its winter break schedule, with no classes for students or teachers from Dec. 22, 2025, through Jan. 2, 2026.

While classes will not be in session during the winter break, GDOE said its main offices will remain open and continue to follow regular school hours of operation unless otherwise announced.
