Guam Delegate James Moylan has launched a Congressional Mobile Office aimed at expanding access to federal constituent services in villages across Guam.
The mobile office, currently stationed in Inalåhan, will provide residents with assistance involving federal agencies and programs, including veterans benefits, Social Security, immigration matters, passport services and other federal casework.
Moylan said the initiative is designed to bring services directly into communities and improve accessibility for residents who may face transportation or scheduling challenges.
“Your Congressional Office is coming to a village near you,” Moylan said in a statement. “This is about showing up for our people, strengthening access to federal services, and making sure every person in our community knows they have a voice and a team ready to fight for them.”
Moylan said the office will allow staff to work directly with residents in their communities rather than requiring constituents to travel to Hagåtña for assistance.
Inalåhan Mayor Anthony Chargualaf welcomed the launch, saying the service will help residents in southern Guam who may struggle with transportation costs.
“When you're out there making a choice between buying a loaf of bread and putting gas in your car, bread becomes a priority,” Chargualaf said. “The convenience of having a mobile office here is definitely what we need to help support.”
Moylan also thanked community leaders, including Father Ron Pangan and village officials, for supporting the initiative.
The Congressional Mobile Office will operate Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Additional locations and schedules are expected to be announced as the program expands islandwide.
