Mount Carmel School transformed its campus into a global celebration on Friday, October 24, as students, teachers, and families came together to mark United Nations Day 2025 with a lively Parade of Nations, cultural performances, and international cuisine. The event highlighted 22 countries from around the world, including Thailand, represented by the school’s MMA Coach DJ Jackson, the MMA Marianas Open 2025 Champion, celebrating the beauty of diversity and the spirit of global cooperation.
The festivities began at 9 a.m. with a colorful procession of students waving national flags and donning traditional attire, as each class presented information about their chosen country’s heritage and current global standing. The air filled with the sound of anthems, drums, and songs as students showcased music and dances inspired by cultures from every continent.
Families and students also shared authentic dishes from various nations, giving attendees a taste of different traditions and flavors. Project Director Joyleen Suba commended the collaboration between teachers, students, and parents, saying, “United Nations Day is one of our most meaningful school-wide events. It not only showcases our students’ talents and creativity but also instills in them the values of respect, global understanding, and cultural appreciation.”
The celebration concluded at 1 p.m., with the campus echoing with laughter, music, and the energy of shared learning. Mount Carmel School’s United Nations Day 2025 served as a reminder of the importance of unity, creativity, and cross-cultural connection in education.
