The Judiciary of Guam honored the winners of its 2026 Law Month Coloring, Art, and Essay Contests during a ceremony in Judge Maria T. Cenzon's courtroom Wednesday, recognizing students whose work explored this year's theme, "The Rule of Law and the American Dream."
"We're thrilled that we continue to have students who can contribute to the Law Month activities, and we've been doing this now for eighteen years," said Justice Robert J. Torres in his opening remarks. "When we first started, we would never have imagined that it would grow into what it has grown to."
In the Coloring Contest, Santa Barbara Catholic School kindergartners swept the top three spots: Zexin Ren took first, Ryllie Souline Constantino second and Brient Jaden Mones third.
In the Art Contest, Collin Griffin of Santa Barbara Catholic School placed first, Justin Wu of St. John's School second and Mia Jean Fernando of Santa Barbara Catholic School third.
In the Middle School Essay Contest, Doris Chang of St. John's School won first, Derrick Yan of St. John's second and Rhon Jheddrich Sison of SIFA Learning Academy Charter School third.
In the High School Essay Contest, Ralph Andrei E. Magno of Okkodo High School took first, Offeia Yordy of St. John's School second and Myka Janelle Imbat of Okkodo High School third.
"The annual Law Month contests inspire students to think critically about justice, fairness, and opportunity," said Administrator of the Courts Danielle Rosete.
The final Law Month event is the Race Judicata 5K on Saturday, July 11, at the Judiciary of Guam parking lot, benefiting the Guam Bar Justice Foundation and I Familian I Kotte. Registration is available at my.raceresult.com/389933.
