The Guam Police Department has suspended its investigation into the armed robbery of Ipan Village Mart after exhausting available leads, the department’s spokesperson said Friday.
It has been 22 days since GPD launched the investigation. In response to a Guam News Network inquiry, spokesperson Norman Analista said investigators had exhausted “all available leads in the robbery.”
If new information or leads emerge, detectives assigned to the case will “immediately reactivate the investigation,” he said.
When the robbery was first reported on Oct 1, GPD said the suspect brandished a firearm, demanded money from the cash register and fled on foot toward the First Beach area. On Monday, Analista confirmed that the suspect stole more than $200.
GPD urged anyone with information about the incident to contact dispatch at 671-475-8615-7 or submit an anonymous tip through Guam Crime Stoppers.
