Guam's Summer EBT Plan for 2026 has received federal approval, the Department of Public Health and Social Services announced, clearing the way to provide grocery benefits to eligible children during the summer months when school meals are unavailable.
Guam was awarded $6,540,480 in Summer EBT benefits for 2026, an increase from $6,413,772 in 2025. DPHSS said the increase reflects a higher number of eligible children identified through participating schools, including the Guam Department of Education, the Department of War Education Activity and Guahan Academy Charter School.
With approval secured, DPHSS said it is completing final preparations including distribution planning and administrative requirements. Specific distribution dates, locations and additional details will be announced once preparations are finalized.
Children may qualify if they were enrolled in a National School Lunch Program or School Breakfast Program school at any point between July 1, 2025, and Aug. 6, 2026. School-age children ages 5 to 18 who are not enrolled in such schools may also qualify if they participated in SNAP or Temporary Assistance for Needy Families during the same period.
