The Government of Guam announced that its Fiscal Year 2026 Group Health Insurance Open Enrollment is underway and will continue through Sept. 27 for employees, retirees, and survivors. Participants may enroll in medical coverage through SelectCare and dental coverage through NetCare during the enrollment period.
Now in its third year under a fully self-funded program, GovGuam has kept medical rates steady for three consecutive years, despite rising healthcare and pharmaceutical costs nationwide. The Governor's Office credited improved claims reporting for helping maintain premium stability, calling it a benefit for subscribers and their families.
In-person and virtual presentations are being offered at the Guam Museum at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. on weekdays, with additional Saturday sessions on Sept. 20 and Sept. 27 at 10 a.m. Insurance representatives are also on-site to assist enrollees Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon.
A Medicare outreach session is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 19, at 10 a.m., featuring the Department of Public Health Division of Senior Citizens, the Government of Guam Retirement Fund, and SelectCare. Retirees and survivors enrolled or preparing to enroll in Medicare are encouraged to attend for information on premium reimbursements and access to care and prescriptions.
