Federal immigration agents and investigators from the Office of the Attorney General arrested a man with a prior sexual offense conviction during a joint enforcement operation Monday, officials said.
According to a statement from the attorney general’s office, Department of Homeland Security Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, working with two AG investigators under a 287(g) agreement, arrested TK Reuney during an early morning operation.
Authorities said Reuney, identified as a citizen of the Federated States of Micronesia, was convicted Jan. 31, 2025, of fourth-degree criminal sexual conduct, a third-degree felony, involving a 14-year-old minor. He was also arrested Jan. 14 on a separate theft-of-property case, officials said.
Reuney was taken into custody outside the Lucky Land Gameroom on Hamburger Road in Harmon following what officials described as a targeted search operation.
Attorney General Douglas Moylan said the joint operation reflects what he called “common sense law enforcement,” adding that cooperation with ICE helps protect the community while reducing government costs associated with prosecution and incarceration. The attorney general’s office estimated that incarcerating an individual costs about $43,000 annually.
The arrest marked the first joint operation conducted under the current DHS–AG collaboration, according to the release. Officials said similar enforcement actions are expected in the future, focusing on noncitizens with criminal convictions.
ICE will assume custody for immigration proceedings, officials said. Further details on Reuney’s immigration status or potential removal were not immediately released.
