The Guam Environmental Protection Agency on Friday announced the launch of a hotline to answer residents’ questions about dieldrin contamination in northern Guam water wells.
The agency clarified that only one well, Y-15 in Yigo, has been affected. Earlier this week, the Office of the Governor mistakenly reported that two wells were impacted. Guam EPA said the correction was necessary to avoid confusion and ensure accurate information is shared with the public.
The hotline, available at 671-888-4342, will operate daily from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. Acting Gov. Josh Tenorio directed the agency to set up the service to help residents seeking immediate guidance.
