The Business and Technology Academy Charter School (BTACS) and Atkins Kroll Inc. (AK) will formalize a new internship partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on Friday, Aug. 22, 2025, at 10 a.m. in the BTACS Auditorium. The agreement is being hailed as a milestone in connecting students with hands-on career training opportunities.
The MOU establishes BTACS as an official partner for AK internships, giving students direct exposure to real-world professional environments. Between 15 to 20 students each year will be placed across multiple departments at AK, including marketing and communications, information technology, data analytics, customer service, sales, human resources, business operations, automotive mechanics, finance and accounting.
Founded in 1914, Atkins Kroll is Guam’s oldest corporation and a premier dealer of Toyota, Lexus, Chevrolet and BMW. The company will provide mentorship and training designed to align with BTACS’s Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Career & Technical Education (CTE) career clusters in business, IT and communications. School officials said the agreement opens new doors for students to develop skills while preparing for higher education and future careers.
“This partnership reflects our shared commitment to preparing the next generation of Guam’s workforce with relevant skills, mentorship, and opportunities for success,” representatives from BTACS said. The MOU runs through Aug. 13, 2030.
