On August 22, 2025, the Business and Technology Academy Charter School (BTACS) and Atkins Kroll Inc. (AK) signed a Memorandum of Understanding to create a new internship pathway for students.
The program is open to sophomores through seniors, with a stronger focus on juniors and seniors. Students will spend one full day each week at AK, rotating through different departments — from IT and marketing to HR, finance, customer service, and automotive mechanics.
“This is an excellent learning opportunity,” said Daphne Leon Guerrero, People Director at Atkins Kroll. “We want students to rotate through different positions so they can explore what’s out there. In the classroom, projects are structured — but nothing beats the hands-on experience of starting and completing a project in the real world.”
Each year, 15–20 students will gain real-world skills, mentorship, and career development, preparing them for higher education and Guam’s workforce of tomorrow.
