The Archdiocese of Agaña’s Catholic Schools Office has launched a comprehensive strategic planning initiative aimed at strengthening Catholic education across the island. The effort, announced this week, is being developed in partnership with education consulting firm Eduscape, led by Alex Urrea.
The process began with a leadership meeting on August 13, bringing together administrators from all 11 Catholic schools on Guam. Over the next several days, Eduscape’s team will conduct site visits at each school to begin assessments and gather input from stakeholders.
According to the Archdiocese, the several-month initiative will result in customized strategic plans for each school as well as a broader plan for the Catholic Schools Office. The framework will align with WCEA Accreditation’s Educational Improvement Plans and national standards for effective Catholic schools.
Officials said the initiative is designed to strengthen the Catholic educational mission, improve operational sustainability, and ensure that students thrive in faith-centered environments. “Our schools’ active engagement in this initiative is vital to building a unified, resilient, faith-filled future,” the Archdiocese stated.
