B.P. Carbullido Elementary School has significantly improved its public health inspection results, earning a grade of 15/B in November 2025, up from its previous 28/C rating, the Guam Department of Education announced Tuesday.
Education officials said the improvement reflects coordinated efforts by school administrators, faculty, staff and the department’s Facilities and Maintenance Division to address earlier inspection findings and strengthen health and safety practices on campus.
Corrective actions were implemented using established protocols to meet public health standards and ensure a safe and clean learning environment for students and employees, according to the department.
“Thank you to all those who helped prepare the school and keep it maintained. The improvement of the letter grade from a C to a B would not be accomplished without the help of the students, teachers, staff and GDOE Facilities and Maintenance,” Principal Lisa Copper-Nurse said in the release.
The Department of Education said it remains committed to supporting schools through regular inspections, ongoing maintenance and collaboration with public health partners to sustain and further improve compliance throughout the district.
The department congratulated B.P. Carbullido Elementary on the achievement and encouraged continued diligence as preparations begin for the next inspection cycle.
