Speaker Frank Blas Jr. (R-Guam) is running for Governor, joined by Dr. Mary Okada (R-Guam) as his running mate for Lieutenant Governor.

If confirmed, this ticket would be the fourth official gubernatorial ticket and the second Republican team running for Adelup in 2026. This ticket will face in the August 2026 primary the Republican team of Vice Speaker V. Anthony Ada and businessman EJ Calvo, who announced in October 2025.

On the Democratic side, Lieutenant Governor Joshua Tenorio and Senator Tina Muna-Barnes officially announced their campaign in December 2025. They will face a primary challenge from Senator Joe S. San Agustin and former senator Dwayne T.D. San Nicolas, who were the first gubernatorial team to announce in August 2025.

Blas is currently serving his seventh term in the Guam Legislature. Dr. Okada, who retired on December 31, 2025, served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Guam Community College from 2007, totaling over 18 years at GCC. Okada is currently the vice chairperson of the Guam Education Board, a board she has been a member of since 2020.
