Sen. Chris “Malafunkshun” Barnett has formally requested to be added as a member of the Guam Legislature’s Committee on Education, Libraries, and Public Broadcasting, according to a letter transmitted by email on Feb. 5.
The request was addressed to Sen. Vincent Anthony V. Borja, chair of the committee, who represents the 38th Guam Legislature. The correspondence was sent from the Legislature’s official email system to Borja’s office at the DNA Building in Hagåtña.
In the letter, Barnett stated his interest in joining the committee and expressed a commitment to working collaboratively to improve Guam’s public school system. He wrote that his goal is to ensure students and education stakeholders benefit from what he described as a quality education.
Barnett, a member of the 38th Guam Legislature, concluded the letter by awaiting a response from the committee chair.
Barnett was the Chair of the Committee on Education in the 37th Guam Legislature.
