Astumbo Middle School has received an "A" rating following a school building inspection by the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services Division of Environmental Health, the Guam Department of Education announced Monday.
The March 24 inspection resulted in a score of 6/A, an improvement from the school's previous score of 8/A.
"The AMS Dragons Administrative Team would like to recognize our hardworking support staff, faculty, and school community who go above and beyond every day for the health and safety of our students," school administrators said.
School leaders also recognized the GDOE Facilities and Maintenance Division under Jimmy Pangelinan, John Palomo and Lead Supervisor Jay-R Estella, along with Mike Alvarez of GEFF and Guam Facilities Services personnel for their support and quick response to maintenance needs.
