The Guam Police Department, GPD is investigating two separate robberies reported Monday morning in Tamuning and Tumon, with authorities believing the incidents may involve the same suspects.

GPD spokesperson Norman Analista said the first incident was reported at about 10:50 a.m., when a female victim reported that a man forcefully grabbed her purse at a retail store in Tamuning.

“No injuries were reported,” Analista said.

The second incident reportedly occurred around 11 a.m. at a game room in Tumon.

Police believe the two incidents may be connected, but investigators are still working to determine the number of suspects involved and obtain descriptions, Analista said.

“Investigators are working on determining the number of suspects involved as well as their descriptions. There is no further releasable information available at this time,” he said.

Following the incidents, GPD issued an advisory at 1 p.m. urging residents in Agana Heights and Sinajana to remain cautious and “lock all doors/windows.”

Police asked residents to report suspicious activity and warned them not to approach anyone they believe may be involved.

“Do not approach. Call 911 immediately,” Analista said.

The investigation is ongoing.
