At 1 p.m. Monday, the Guam Police Department advised residents in Agana Heights and Sinajana to "stay indoors, lock all doors and windows and remain cautious" as authorities are actively searching for suspects involved in an armed robbery.
GPD did not provide details about the suspects, where or when the armed robbery took place. However, authorities warned the suspects could be "armed with a handgun."
GPD encouraged residents to report suspicious activity and not to approach the suspects if seen. Instead, call 911 immediately.
The Guam Department of Education confirmed that a Shelter in Place has been initiated for Agana Heights Elementary School and Agueda Johnston Middle School. C.L. Taitano Elementary School has been placed on a modified lockdown.
This is a developing story.
