The Guam Visitors Bureau will host two fireworks shows at midnight on New Year’s Eve, welcoming 2026 with simultaneous displays over Tumon Bay and Hagåtña Bay. The shows are scheduled for 12 a.m. on Jan. 1, 2026, and are intended for residents and visitors celebrating the holiday on island.
GVB said the fireworks will be launched at the same time from Governor Joseph Flores Beach Park, also known as Ypao Beach, and from Hagåtña Bay. The displays will be produced by JamzMedia Productions/ShowPro Pyrotechnics and continue a long-standing tradition of New Year’s celebrations organized by the bureau.
Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero said the annual fireworks are meant to bring the community together as the island enters a new year. Lt. Gov. Josh Tenorio added that the event reflects optimism for the future and Guam’s commitment to remaining safe and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.
GVB President and CEO Régine Biscoe Lee said the bureau aims to provide a family-friendly way to celebrate while showcasing Guam’s festive culture. GVB advised the public not to swim in the waters between Ypao Beach and the Hyatt Regency on New Year’s Eve and urged spectators to celebrate responsibly, keep the island clean, and follow safety guidance from local authorities.
