Twenty-two middle school basketball teams will take the court in the Mall Ball 3x3 Summer Circuit Middle School Tournament beginning July 31.
“These young athletes bring tremendous energy, determination, and enthusiasm to the game, and we’re proud to provide them with an opportunity to compete in a unique indoor tournament environment. We invite families, friends, and the entire community to join us for an exciting final weekend of Mall Ball ’26,” Francis Lira, Micronesia Mall Operations and Finance Manager said.
A release from Micronesia Mall, in partnership with Clutch Guam, said the teams will participate in "three days of fast-paced competition."
"The Middle School Tournament marks the final installment of this year's Mall Ball 3x3 Summer Circuit, following the High School Division Tournament in June and the Adult/Open Division Tournament in July," the release states.
The tournament runs Friday, July 31, through Sunday, Aug. 2, at the Micronesia Mall's "custom indoor FUBA basketball court." Action begins at 6 p.m. Friday and continues all day Saturday and Sunday.
"Championship matchups will take center stage Sunday evening as teams compete for division titles, trophies, prize packages, and Mall Ball bragging rights," the release said.
Winning teams will receive a package of prizes including Micronesia Mall gift certificates, Foot Locker gift cards, gas cards, movie tickets, food vouchers and sponsor merchandise.
As part of the event, the mall is hosting Round 3 of the 2026 Free Throw Fly Away Challenge, open to all players, spectators and staff.
"Participants will have 60 seconds to make as many free throws as possible on the Mall Ball 3x3 court. The individual with the highest score by the end of the tournament will win a free round-trip ticket to Southeast Asia on Philippine Airlines, courtesy of Goodwind Travel," the release said.
The leaderboard will be updated daily, with the overall leader as of Sunday earning the grand prize. The challenge will take place during scheduled tournament intermissions throughout the weekend. The all-time record is currently held by Jordan Madrazo, who made 30 free throws in 60 seconds in 2025.
