A man was released on his personal recognizance after being charged with indecent exposure following allegations that he stood naked in the doorway of his Dededo residence while a neighbor saw, according to a magistrate's complaint filed in the Superior Court of Guam.

The incident reportedly occurred at approximately 3:37 p.m. Nov. 3 at Summer Town Estates.

The complainant filed a walk-in report with the Guam Police Department, alleging she arrived home and saw a naked man standing in the doorway of a residence across the street. The man was identified in the complaint as Francisco Gumataotao Tanega.

“The victim stated the door was wide open and Tanega stared at her while Tanega was nude. The victim took a photo of Tanega, and then Tanega touched his genital area and closed the door,” the complaint states.

Police reviewed the photograph and observed a man standing naked in the doorway, with half of his body exposed. Investigators said the image corroborated the neighbor's account that the man touched his genital area.

The reporting person also told police that a previous incident involving similar allegations had been reported to property management, according to the complaint.

Officers spoke with Tanega at his residence later that day. He reportedly told police he opened the door because he thought someone had knocked and admitted he was completely naked when he did so.

Tanega told officers he did not recall touching himself, the complaint states.

He was charged with indecent exposure, a misdemeanor.
