The Guam Visitors Bureau reported strong engagement from Japan’s travel industry following the conclusion of its “One Guam Roadshow 2026,” held Jan. 19–21 in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka.

The roadshow marked the official launch of GVB’s fiscal year 2026 initiatives for Japan and featured increased participation from travel trade partners amid a continued recovery in outbound travel. The mission began with a signing ceremony at JTB headquarters in Tokyo, where GVB, JTB and T.P. Micronesia executed a memorandum of understanding aimed at strengthening collaborative efforts to promote Guam. Under the agreement, Guam remains a priority destination within JTB’s outbound strategy.

GVB conducted seminars in all three cities outlining its FY2026 marketing and trade initiatives, including the GOGO! Guam Håfa Adai campaign, Guam Pay and Guam Bonus programs, and new educational group and airline charter support programs.

Japanese celebrity and Ko’Ko’ Road Race Ambassador Shinji Takeda participated in the Tokyo and Nagoya events, sharing his experiences in Guam and promoting the annual race. In Osaka, seminars were followed by a New Year Appreciation Reception featuring stage promotions in collaboration with FM Osaka, along with cultural performances by Guma Taotao Tåno’, highlighting CHamoru culture.

Business-to-business meetings were a central component of the roadshow, with nearly 410 sessions conducted across the three cities to discuss product development, packaging and collaborative promotions. Twenty-two GVB member companies from Guam’s hospitality, airline and tourism sectors participated.

GVB President and CEO Régine Biscoe Lee thanked participating partners, citing strong engagement and confidence in Guam’s long-term potential in the Japan market. Board Director and Japan Marketing Committee Chairman Ken Yanagisawa said the renewed B2B activity signals growing private-sector confidence and opportunities for investment.
