The Guam Visitors Bureau announced on Friday that Jenna Blas has been appointed as its new Public Information Officer.

Blas officially accepted the position on May 29, 2026, following a competitive selection process, and assumed her duties on June 15. She brings more than a decade of experience in public affairs, crisis communications, and community outreach to the island’s official destination marketing organization.

Prior to joining GVB, Blas served for 12 years with the Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense as Public Information Officer. In that role, she was instrumental in managing public messaging during emergencies and natural disasters, working closely with local, federal, and military partners to strengthen community resilience.

“Jenna brings a wealth of communications experience and a deep understanding of public engagement to our organization,” said Régine Biscoe Lee, GVB President & CEO. “Her leadership in strategic communications and stakeholder relations will be an asset as we continue promoting Guam and sharing our island’s story.”

In her new role, Blas will oversee media relations, public communications, and strategic messaging to support GVB’s mission of promoting Guam as a premier destination.

“I am honored to join the Guam Visitors Bureau and contribute to an organization that plays such an important role in Guam’s economy and global presence,” said Blas. “I look forward to working with the GVB team and our community to highlight the unique culture and hospitality that make Guam a special destination.”
