The Guam Visitors Bureau has extended the Early Bird registration period for the 2026 Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race and Ko’ko’ Kids Fun Run, giving participants additional time to register at discounted rates.
GVB announced the Early Bird period has been extended from Jan. 31 to 12 a.m. Feb. 16, allowing runners an extra two weeks to take advantage of reduced entry fees.
The 2026 Ko’ko’ Road Race weekend will feature the Ko’ko’ Kids Fun Run on Saturday, April 11, followed by the Ko’ko’ Half Marathon and 5K Ekiden Relay on Sunday, April 12.
During the extended Early Bird period, registration fees are set at $35 per person for the half marathon, $15 per person for the Ekiden Relay and school team races, and $10 per child for the Ko’ko’ Kids Fun Run.
GVB President and CEO Régine Biscoe Lee said the event supports sports tourism and provides visitors and residents a unique running experience across scenic parts of the island. She noted the race attracts participants from Guam’s source markets while engaging the local running community.
The Guam Ko’ko’ Road Race, first held in 2006, is GVB’s signature running event and is named to raise awareness for the Guam rail, or ko’ko’, a flightless bird endemic to the island. The event serves as a platform for public awareness and community involvement in conservation efforts.
The Ko’ko’ Kids Fun Run will be held at Governor Joseph Flores Memorial Park in Ypao Beach, featuring multiple race distances for children ages 4 to 12. The half marathon and Ekiden Relay will start in Tumon in front of the Guam Visitors Bureau and finish at Ypao Beach. Participants in the adult races will receive a finisher’s shirt and medal.
