GTA is accepting applications for its School Year 2026-2027 Youth Leader Program, which recognizes high school students for academic excellence, leadership and community service.

Launched in 2019, the program is one of GTA's signature youth initiatives and drew more than 100 applicants last year.

"Our future depends on the young leaders we choose to invest in today," Sharon Davis, senior vice president of community relations and enterprise sales at GTA said. "Through the GTA Youth Leader Program, we recognize students who are not only excelling academically, but who are leading with integrity, serving their communities, and inspiring those around them. These young leaders represent the very best of Guam, and we are proud to support their continued growth while celebrating the positive impact they are already making."

The top five GTA Youth Leaders will each receive an iPad Air and a $1,000 scholarship.

The top two will also each receive up to 100,000 United Airlines miles to attend approved competitions, conferences or camps in sports, the arts or academics.

To apply, students must be Guam residents enrolled in a local high school for the upcoming school year, maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0, submit a letter of recommendation and demonstrate leadership and commitment to creating positive change in their school and community.

Applications are available at gta.net/youthleader. The deadline to apply is Aug. 30.
