GTA donated 375 school supply items to youth served by Sanctuary, Inc., following a month-long donation drive hosted by the telecommunications provider.
The donations, collected from GTA employees, customers and the community, included backpacks, notebooks, pencils, lunch bags, rulers, folders and other classroom essentials.
"At GTA, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to start the school year prepared and confident," Michele Catahay Perez, GTA's director of community relations, said.
The drive, conducted annually, is part of GTA's "ongoing commitment to giving back through employee volunteerism, charitable giving and partnerships," the release said.
"Our annual school supply drive is a reflection of what can be accomplished when our employees, customers and community come together to support local families. We're grateful to partner with Sanctuary, Inc. to help students begin the school year ready to learn," Perez added.
Sanctuary, which merged with WestCare Pacific Islands in 2025, is focused on providing trauma-informed, culturally responsive programs and services that promote healing, recovery and empowerment for youth, individuals and families in communities across Micronesia and the Pacific, according to the Sanctuary website.
