The Guam Police Department has arrested four suspects in connection to the home invasion in Takano Subdivision in Yigo that resulted in the death of one of the victims on July 10.
During a press conference on July 18, Acting Chief of Police Joseph Carbullido confirmed that a “methodical” investigation was able to reconstruct the events that occurred the day of the home invasion and the days ahead which led them to identify four suspects - Benny Joshua Sala Nauta, 35, Chen Christian Quindo Calputura, 27, Justin Anthony Santos, 30, and Russel Quindo Calputura Jr, 26.
Police confirmed that the Culpatura’s are siblings, but could not divulge whether the suspects and the victims were known to each other.
In a release following the press conference, authorities said that shortly before 6 a.m. on July 10, officers from the Dededo precinct responded to the home invasion where upon arrival they found two victims “suffering from severe blunt force trauma.”
“Both victims were transported to a hospital for emergency medical treatment. Tragically, one of the victims, Jesus Dnlod Valle succumbed to his injuries later that afternoon. His next of kin has been notified. Our thoughts and deepest condolences remain with the family and loved ones of Mr. Valle during this incredibly difficult time,” GPD said.
Valle’s death has been rule a homicide. He is 72 years old.
Detectives investigating the case arrested the four suspects based on “evidence collected and subsequent interview” which established “clear probable cause.”
“The suspects have been processed, booked & confined, and are now in the custody of the Department of Corrections. Their information has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for their information and disposition,” GPD said.
Police could not provide any additional information as the investigation is ongoing.
