The ElevateHER Pitch Program is back for its second year, inviting women entrepreneurs in Guam to pitch their business ideas for a chance to win a $5,000 grand prize. Launched by Bank of Guam in partnership with the Guam Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GWCC) and KUAM Communications, the initiative seeks to empower women-led businesses through funding, mentorship, and exposure.

The top finalists will undergo one-on-one training and workshops before presenting their pitches live at Fanachu Famalåo’an 2025: In Bloom, the GWCC’s flagship women’s leadership summit, scheduled for Sept. 26 at the Hyatt Regency Guam. The winner will receive $5,000 in seed money from Bank of Guam, $5,000 in advertising credits from KUAM Communications, and a one-year GWCC membership. A separate People’s Choice Award, decided by the audience, will also include a $2,000 prize.

“We learned early on that this was more than just a pitch competition, it’s a space for inspiration and opportunity to uplift women and their dreams,” said Maria Eugenia H. Leon Guerrero, Executive Vice President and COO of Bank of Guam. Last year’s winner, Karmen George of Nemin Boutique, transformed her fashion brand with the support of the program, blending traditional Chuukese muumuus with bold, modern styles. Her success story exemplifies the program’s power to inspire and elevate.

Applications for this year’s competition are open through August 8 at 11:59 p.m. Eligible applicants must be women entrepreneurs based in Guam, with majority women-owned and -run businesses. Applications can be submitted at bankofguam.com, and inquiries may be directed to projectgive@bankofguam.com.
