The Guam International Dance Festival (GIDF) returns in December bringing three-days of competition, performances and entertainment, according to the Guam Visitors Bureau which emphasized the event will feature performers from Guam and around the world.
This is the second year that GVB is hosting the event characterizing the inaugural event last year a success.
“We are excited to bring the Guam International Dance Festival back to our island this December,” said GVB President and CEO Régine Biscoe Lee. “GIDF gives us another opportunity to welcome some of the most talented dancers and performers from around the world while giving our local community a chance to experience entertainment of the highest caliber right here at home. We look forward to building on last year’s momentum and making GIDF 2026 even bigger and more exciting.”
GVB said attendees can expect high-intensity competition, exciting performances and attendee participation through workshops.
"GIDF 2026 aims to deliver an unforgettable weekend of dance and entertainment, bringing together performers and audiences from across Guam and around the world," GVB said.
“GIDF is about creating an experience that people will want to come back for year after year,” GVB Director of Destination Development Ina Carillo added. “We have an incredible opportunity to bring together competitive dancers who are at the top of their craft with professional performers who know how to command a stage. Our goal is to make the festival exciting for the dancers and unforgettable for the audience, while giving Guam the opportunity to host an event that truly feels international.”

This year GVB is actively pursuing international recognition of GIDF as a Federation of International Dance Festivals event.
"This affiliation would enhance GIDF’s international credibility and recognition while providing access to internationally renowned judges and dance groups, further elevating the quality and prestige of the festival. GVB is working with Guam dance and cultural leader Vince Reyes," GVB said.
Reyes currently serves as FIDAF’s Local Chairman for Oceania and is a member of the organization’s Development Commission.
"Reyes brings extensive experience in international dance and cultural programming to the collaboration. He is a longtime advocate for CHamoru performing arts and has led Inetnon Gefpa’go, an award-winning program dedicated to promoting awareness and pride in CHamoru heritage through the performing arts. Inetnon Gefpa’go is also listed by FIDAF as an international dance festival on Guam, with Reyes serving as its President and Director," GVB said.
The Guam International Dance Festival is scheduled for Dec. 4-6.
