The Japan-flagged cruise vessel Asuka III arrived at the Port of Guam on Wednesday morning, bringing more than 700 passengers and crew as part of its Pacific voyage.
The ship docked at 9 a.m., carrying 311 passengers and 429 crew members for a two-day visit. This marks the vessel’s second call to Guam following its maiden visit in December 2025.
During their stay, passengers are expected to visit island attractions, restaurants and retail businesses, with some participating in organized tours, contributing to Guam’s visitor economy.
A cultural welcome coordinated by the Guam Visitors Bureau greeted the ship’s arrival with traditional CHamoru performances.
Port General Manager Rory J. Respicio said the visit underscores Guam’s appeal as a regional destination.
“Cruise vessel visits continue to highlight Guam as a premier destination in the Pacific while providing meaningful economic activity for our island’s tourism and business community,” Respicio said.
Port personnel managed safety, security and passenger processing operations while maintaining regular cargo activities at the island’s commercial seaport.
The Asuka III is scheduled to depart at about 5 p.m. Thursday as it continues its Pacific itinerary.
