Jesus D. Valle suffered blunt force trauma to the head, leading to his death hours after his Yigo home was invaded July 10 by suspects whom the surviving victim referred to as "the generator guys."

A magistrate complaint filed with the Superior Court of Guam on July 19 said the home invasion traces back to a legitimate generator sale the day before the fatal incident.

"The detectives tracked down one of these 'generator guys,' Justin Nuguid, who directed them to Kenneth Ordillas' residence. However, when they arrived, they learned that Ordillas had left home earlier and had not returned," the complaint states.

Authorities said preliminary information from the victim and "other sources" helped identify three suspects. Ordillas directed police to "Ben," whom the victim identified as one of the attackers.

On July 11, police encountered Benny Joshua Salas Nauta during a traffic stop, finding him in possession of suspected methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. He was subsequently arrested.

On July 13, police located Ordillas, who allegedly corroborated the sale of the generator to Valle and a second victim. He claimed he "usually" bought drugs from the second victim.

"On Thursday, July 9, 2026, during the early morning hours, Ordillas identified he was with 'Ben,' who was fully identified to be 'Benny Nauta,' and 'Ed,' who was fully identified to be 'Chen Christian Quindo Clapatura,'" the complaint states.

Surveillance footage of the incident showed Valle "quickly fleeing from the kitchen to his room as Nauta pursued armed with what appeared to be a handgun," according to the complaint. Santos, carrying a crowbar, followed in the direction of Valle's room.

A second victim told police she was sleeping in bed when she was allegedly struck in the head. She said Valle was "severely beaten with a blunt object."

She described an altercation with two unknown male suspects, one of whom "struck her with a pistol and threatened her life." She said the suspect instructed her not to look at him and asked, "where's the money?" and "is this the only money?"

Surveillance footage showed that "after a brief moment of no movement," Nauta peered out of the bedroom, "then re-entered holding what looked like a black bag. No handgun visible at this time," the complaint states, noting he "searched through drawers in the living room before heading back towards the hallway."

The same footage shows Chen Calpatura entering and exiting rooms, carrying an item "resembling a breaker bar," and later attempting to take something from a picture frame on the wall.

At the scene, police discovered a crowbar or breaker bar and noted "blood droplets in the victim's bedroom along with illegal drug paraphernalia."

The surveillance footage ended with Chen Calpatura "securing the front door and looking up at the camera," authorities said.

On July 16, police located Chen Calpatura, who allegedly told police that his brother, Russell Calpatura, was the driver of the getaway vehicle.

"When they got there, Santos and Nauta entered the residence through the back door. Chen admitted to entering the residence and rummaging through various drawers. ... Several admissions were gathered during the course of these interviews," the complaint states.

During a press conference, GPD Acting Chief Joseph Carbullido said detectives were able to recreate the events of the home invasion and the days leading up to it.

Based on the investigation, Nauta was charged with aggravated murder as a first-degree felony, with special allegations of deadly weapon use and vulnerable victim, along with home invasion as a first-degree felony and burglary as a second-degree felony.

Santos and Chen and Russell Calpatura were each charged with complicity to commit aggravated murder as a first-degree felony, complicity to commit home invasion, complicity to commit burglary as a second-degree felony and theft of property as a third-degree felony. Vulnerable victim enhancements were applied to the murder and theft of property charges.

The Office of the Attorney General requested all four suspects be held on $1 million cash bail.
