The Guam Women's Chamber of Commerce will host a moderated candidate forum featuring two congressional hopefuls at its May monthly meeting Thursday, kicking off the organization's new "Members in Action" series.
The event, titled "GWCC Members in Action: Meet the Candidates," will feature confirmed candidates the Hon. Mary Camacho Torres and the Hon. Alicia Garrido Limtiaco in a question-and-answer session moderated by the GWCC Government Committee. Members submitted questions in advance to guide the discussion, and attendees will also have an opportunity to ask questions from the floor.
"This series reflects our commitment to ensuring that the women of Guam's business community are informed, engaged, and empowered at every level of civic life," said Government Committee Co-Chair Amanda Alag.
The event will be held at Crowne Plaza Resort Guam from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Admission is $35 for members and $45 for non-members. Seating is limited.
GWCC will also continue collecting donations for its Typhoon Sinlaku Relief Drive during the event, with requested items including personal hygiene products, feminine care items, shelf-stable food and emergency supplies. Attendees who bring donations will be entered into a raffle.
