A 40-year-old woman was arrested and charged with theft by receiving after police recovered designer purses allegedly stolen from a Santa Rita residence and offered for sale on Facebook, according to a court affidavit.
Court documents state that an individual reported a burglary at his residence and warehouse on Santa Rita Drive on Jan. 17, saying the break-in occurred sometime between Dec. 27, 2025, and Jan. 5. The homeowner told police he discovered the burglary on Jan. 5 after finding the interior of the building ransacked, though the doors were secured. The point of entry was later identified as unscrewed tin panels at the rear of the warehouse.
The homeowner did not immediately report the incident, citing stress, according to the affidavit.
The case advanced after the homeowner’s wife, spotted a Facebook post on Jan. 16 in the “Guahan Sales Group” offering a bundle of purses for sale. She recognized several items — including a maroon Louis Vuitton purse valued at $1,500 and a black Coach purse valued at $200 — as her stolen property.
Police obtained a screenshot of the post, which was attributed to a user named “Cass Due fas.” Investigators identified the account holder as Cassidy Duenas Brewer, born May 31, 1985, based on police records and the profile photo.
Brewer was located Jan. 17 near the 76 Circle K in Agat and transported to the Agat Precinct Command. After waiving her Miranda rights, Brewer admitted posting items for sale on Facebook but claimed she collected the bags from a “bone yard,” describing it as a dump pile of discarded items.
Brewer consented to a search of her Agat residence, where officers recovered multiple bags and wallets. The homeowner's wife later identified 11 of the items, valued at more than $1,700, as her stolen property.
Brewer was arrested at 8:46 p.m. and charged with second-degree theft by receiving.
