Chamoree Borja, 31, was recently arrested and charged with Family Violence as a misdemeanor. This follows a response by the Guam Police Department to a domestic dispute on November 4, as detailed in a magistrate’s complaint filed in the Superior Court of Guam in Hagatna.
The victim reported to GPD officers that a verbal argument with Borja escalated, resulting in the victim being locked out of the premises, according to a complaint.
The victim further informed GPD that Borja has an open case from October 29, for which she was arrested and charged with three counts of driving while impaired with a child on board as a third-degree felony, driving while impaired as a misdemeanor, and open container as a misdemeanor. As a condition of that pending case, she is not permitted to operate a vehicle.
On the late evening of November 3, the victim took Borja’s keys after she attempted to leave the premises in a vehicle. Borja became upset and argued, left, but returned later and again attempted to take her vehicle. When the victim again took the keys, Borja became irate. She attempted to retrieve the keys, threw a beer can that struck the victim in the shoulder, and scratched his arm. GPD officers noted a laceration on the victim’s arm measuring approximately one inch in length.
