The Department of Public Health and Social Services announced Thursday that Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) food benefits will resume after a temporary pause. Beginning Friday, Oct. 3, at 12 p.m., WIC clients may redeem their October food benefits at all authorized vendors across the island.

The program, which provides nutritious foods and essential services to eligible families, had experienced a short disruption, prompting concern among participants. DPHSS officials thanked clients for their patience and understanding during the pause.

“DPHSS reaffirms its commitment to ensuring that WIC participants continue to have access to nutritious foods and essential services,” the agency said in its announcement.

Clients with questions regarding their benefits are encouraged to contact the DPHSS WIC Program at (671) 475-0300 or email michael.gallo@dphss.guam.gov
