Two people were seriously injured early Sunday when their vehicle overturned in front of Happy Mart in Barrigada, according to the Guam Fire Department. Emergency units responded to the crash at about 2:45 a.m. after receiving reports of a single vehicle that struck an object and overturned.
Upon arrival, GFD personnel found a male and female with serious injuries. The man was transported to Guam Regional Medical City while the woman was taken to Guam Memorial Hospital with paramedics on board, officials said. No further details on their conditions were immediately available.
The Guam Police Department issued a traffic advisory at about 8:16 a.m., announcing that officers were investigating the crash and had closed the northbound lanes near Happy Mart. Authorities urged motorists to expect delays and consider alternate routes while the investigation continues.
