Guam Police Department detectives have arrested two Yigo brothers after a 15-year-old boy was fatally stabbed late Monday night in the Zero Down Subdivision, authorities said Tuesday. Police charged Arnusio Lucio, 18, with aggravated murder and several other offenses, and his brother, Apress Lucio, 21, with aggravated assault and family violence, according to a GPD media release.
At 10:50 p.m. Sept. 15, GPD’s Criminal Investigation Section responded to a reported stabbing along Chalan Pulan, the department said. The 15-year-old male victim was transported to Guam Regional Medical City with a stab wound attributed to Arnusio Lucio. He was pronounced dead at 11:09 p.m. by emergency room physician Dr. Bon-Tramp.
Police said a domestic dispute between the brothers at their residence on Chalan Estreyas preceded the incident. Apress Lucio allegedly assaulted Arnusio, who then left the home “in an enraged state,” walking toward Chalan Pulan. Witnesses told detectives they saw Arnusio holding a knife, yelling and running in their direction before "catching up" to the victim and stabbing him. Arnusio fled as witnesses attempted to help the victim, police said.
Chief Medical Examiner Dr. Keng-Chih “Kenny” Su conducted an autopsy, which preliminarily ruled the death a homicide caused by a stab wound. Both suspects were processed, booked and confined at the Department of Corrections. The case remains under investigation and has been forwarded to the Attorney General’s Office for review, police said.
