Guam police arrested two Barrigada men in connection with an armed robbery involving a family of Korean tourists at the Guam Premier Outlets parking lot, authorities said.
The Guam Police Department said Jimmy Moses Hadley, 34, and Justin Willy, 27, were arrested Feb. 7 for their alleged roles in the robbery, which occurred around 3:33 p.m. Feb. 6. Both men face multiple felony charges, including second-degree robbery, use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony, firearm-related offenses and child abuse involving aggravated assault.
According to preliminary findings, a family of Korean tourists — three men, two women and an 11-month-old baby — arrived at the GPO parking lot in a van when a red sport utility vehicle followed and parked beside them. Police said Willy was driving the SUV.
Investigators said Hadley exited the SUV, opened the van’s door, pointed a firearm at the driver and demanded money. The driver handed over his wallet, while passengers surrendered a purse and bags containing money, passports and other belongings.
Police said Willy also exited the SUV armed with a firearm, pointed it at passengers and took money from bags before leaving other items behind.
A third suspect, identified as Jay Boi Elias, 31, allegedly remained inside the SUV and is believed to have been armed. Police said a wanted flyer for Elias was released to the public.
Detectives said an anonymous tip led officers to a Barrigada residence the evening of Feb. 6, where Hadley and Willy were located. Firearms, clothing and other evidence were seized during a search.
Both suspects were booked and confined at the Department of Corrections. The case remains under investigation.
