Guam Homeland Security/Office of Civil Defense and the National Weather Service advise that Tropical Depression 07W (formerly Invest 92W) is expected to continue strengthening today and may become a tropical storm this afternoon. However, the system passed south of Guam overnight and is moving away from the Marianas into the Philippine Sea, well out to sea.
No tropical cyclone watches or warnings are in effect for Guam, and none are anticipated.
CURRENT STATUS
- There are no tropical cyclone watches or warnings in effect for Guam.
- A Wind Advisory and a Small Craft Advisory remain in effect for Guam and its coastal waters until 5:00 p.m. ChST today.
- The strongest winds passed over the island early this morning and are now moving offshore.

- Continued gusty winds across the Marianas, particularly during passing showers.
- Conditions are expected to improve this afternoon as the system moves further away.

- Continue to secure loose outdoor items until winds subside.
- Exercise caution while driving, especially in high-profile vehicles or during heavy rain.
- Mariners should remain in port while the Small Craft Advisory is active.

The National Weather Service has indicated this will be its final alert on Tropical Depression 07W as the system pulls away. GHS/OCD will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates if conditions warrant.
