Three people were arrested Monday after Guam police said a traffic stop led to the discovery of methamphetamine, glass pipes and syringes inside a vehicle in which the steering column appeared tampered with.
According to a magistrate’s complaint, officers stopped a heavily tinted gray Scion near Route 4 after noticing it lacked a registration sticker. The driver, identified as Angelica Marie Taisacan, did not have a license and was accompanied by passengers Cyroos Dimaola Belocora and Matthew Franklin Sablan. Police reported finding about 5 grams of methamphetamine, several heat-modified glass pipes and syringes during a consent search of the car.
Taisacan, who is on pretrial release for a separate drug case and on probation in another, allegedly admitted to having a smoking device and said the group was heading to probation and planned to smoke afterward. Sablan told police the drugs belonged to Belocora, while Belocora denied ownership. Field tests confirmed the substance was methamphetamine, court documents stated.
All three were charged with possession of a Schedule II controlled substance as third-degree felonies. Taisacan faces an additional enhancement for committing a felony while on felony release.
