After four decades of serving up ribs and memories, Tony Roma’s in Tumon is set to close its doors for good at the end of this month. The announcement, shared via the restaurant’s official social media page, confirmed that August 31 will be the final day of operations at the Royal Orchid location.
Widely known as “THE Place for Ribs,” Tony Roma’s was a cherished family restaurant that became a staple in the island’s dining scene. The brand built a reputation not only for its signature ribs but also for providing a warm, inviting space for celebrations, gatherings, and casual meals.
The restaurant's farewell message to the community was filled with appreciation. “Thank you for 40 years of ribs, laughter and great company,” Tony Roma’s posted, closing a chapter that many longtime residents and visitors remember fondly.
“We’re deeply grateful for your support, your loyalty, and all the memories made over the decades. From our ribs to your celebrations – thank you for making us part of your story,” Tony Roma’s Guam WDI International Inc added.
As the iconic eatery prepares to serve its final plate, many island residents expressed sadness in saying goodbye to a place that was a part of Guam’s culinary history.
