Agana Shopping Center and Breaking Wave Theatre Company have launched the “Tåsi Express,” a 20-minute interactive holiday experience that blends storytelling, music and island-inspired magic. The one-of-a-kind attraction invites families to board a life-sized boat installation and join a theatrical crew on a journey across the Pacific to help deliver Guam’s Christmas wishes to the North Pole.
Performances run Saturdays and Sundays from noon to 5 p.m. through Dec. 21 inside the former Primo Surf location. Guests may arrive early to explore the Holiday Village Dock, where children can write letters to Santa before boarding. “Tasi Express is the perfect stop for smiles, laughter, and family fun,” said Kristian Salvilla, promotions manager for Agana Shopping Center.
During the show, audience members become “Guardians of the Letters,” teaming up with cast members to navigate a sea of lights, sound and immersive effects after stormy skies prevent Santa’s sleigh from reaching Guam. Early attendees praised the experience, with one parent calling it “welcoming and fun,” adding, “We had the best time!”
Tickets cost $5 at the door, cash only, or $8.63 online at bwtcguam.com, with limited seating for 20 passengers per voyage. Each ticket includes a coupon for a complimentary hot chocolate from Cinnabon with any purchase. The experience features original music by Joyce Torres, Shannon Dean San Nicolas and CJ Ochoco, performed by a rotating cast from Breaking Wave Theatre Company. Organizers advise that haze, loud sounds and changing light effects may affect those with sensory sensitivities.
