A delegation of visiting Rotarians from the Tachikawa-Kobushi Rotary Club in Japan paid a courtesy visit to Harvest House on Friday, December 5.
The group included Incoming 2026 President Kazunobu Shiki, 2025 President Yoshikazu Kumada, Secretary Kenichi Moriya, and Chairman of Environment International Service Hiroaki Kitajima. The visit was arranged by Dave Silva, President of the Rotary Club of Guam.
The delegation received a full tour of the facility from Harvest House Lead Pastor and Chairman Gary Walton, joined by team members Valerie Busenitz and Nikki Baugus. During the visit, the Rotarians learned about the organization’s mission to support foster children and families in Guam.
Deeply moved by the impactful work being done—especially after hearing how Harvest House had just assisted four brothers, ages 1 to 7, who arrived the day before—the delegation donated $2,000 to help support the organization’s ongoing needs. President Kumada was visibly emotional as Pastor Walton shared the story, expressing heartfelt admiration for the team’s dedication.
The Rotary Club of Guam and Tachikawa-Kobushi Rotary Club reaffirmed their commitment to community service and their support for organizations uplifting Guam’s most vulnerable.
